The dual color (stainless steel and gold plating) configuration of the case and bracelet make the white dial pop out even more: there is no doubt this chronograph’s design will not pass unnoticed. The date indication in the top part of the dial includes the moonphase indication, driven by a simple, yet extremely reliable system. The dial seems busy, but not clogged with information. Quite the contrary: all the 4 dials interact visually one with each other, and form a very nice, symmetrical dial design.

The watch has all the signs of having lived a pretty busy life, with scratches and small dents all over the case. These are never too big, but are visible. They tell a story and are part of the watch as the watch was part of the life of its owner, so this is something we like a lot.

What we don’t like about this watch:

This Seiko 7A48-7000 quartz chronograph was used extensively, so much so, the bracelet is a bit too much stretched, but yet still solid and wears very good on the wrist. Yet the signs of wear are well visible, so if you are looking for a perfect, NOS watch, this may not be for you. Also, a replacement mineral glass was installed, which si a good thing. Yet this also has a couple of very fine and thin scratches. Again, this watch has seen a busy life, and all the signs are there.

The watch has been serviced, cleaned and comes with a new battery so you can easily take it out of the box and carry this beautiful piece of history. The moonphase complication will certainly draw a lot of attention, you do not see it often on watches of this price range.
