And now something for a change…. a Vintage Citizen 3560-351606 GN-4-S Quartz Chronograph that needed some love and care…. and now it’s ready to be worn again!

This is quite a sporty timepiece, all stainless steel and with a nice black matte dial. At first glance, the dial is quite cluttered, but you quickly get used to it. The main function of this wristwatch is the chronograph complication, which works flawlessly. It’s easy to activate, easy to start and stop/reset, and it’s a nice addition to your sporting activities if you want to measure your time accurately.

However, this Vintage Citizen 3560-351606 GN-4-S Quartz Chronograph can also be worn in everyday life and is the best companion for your desk work. It can even take a beating if you need to do some renovations at home… or just sit on the couch and watch a good movie!

What we like about this watch:

Citizen was Seiko’s competitor for decades, and this Vintage Citizen 3560-351606 GN-4-S Quartz Chronograph shows that they went head-to-head in terms of quality and technical advancement during the quartz watch revolution. This Vintage Citizen 3560-351606 GN-4-S Quartz Chronograph is similar in look and feel to the infamous Seiko 7A38 watch series, but takes the concept a bit further and keeps the overall idea simple and effective. The pushers and crown position are reminiscent of the Seiko 7A38, but while the Seiko model has simple pushers and crown functions, the Vintage Citizen 3560-351606 GN-4-S Quartz Chronograph has dual pushers and crown functions thanks to the more complex circuit board.

What we don’t like about this watch:

The more advanced functions come with a downside: these movements aren’t as easy to service (they weren’t really designed to be serviced by anyone other than a certified Citizen center…) as their Seiko counterparts, but it’s still doable and if done right, the watch will work flawlessly for decades.

Signs of use and age are all over the watch, but they describe the history and journey of this Vintage Citizen 3560-351606 GN-4-S Quartz Chronograph. During maintenance, we decided to keep the watch as original as possible and not to remove any scratches or dents on the case or bracelet.
