This Vintage Seiko 7T32-7D90 Quartz Chronograph is as military as a 7T32 quartz chronograph can get: dark green dial, satinized case, large protruding mushroom shaped pushers and a big main crown.
Technically speaking, this military looking chronograph is exactly as any other Seiko 7T32 model based wrist watch, but thiere is something about it, I just cannot put my finger on it. Perhaps the discrete dimensions, at 39mm (without crown), or the leather strap… No, it is definitively the dark military green dial with large, white arabic number hour markers that sets it apart!
The satinized case is almost scratch-free, and the glass has already been replaced. The pushers are a joy to use: the tactile feeling is excellent, and the functions work exactly as they should. The watch has been recently serviced, to guarantee it will work perfectly for the years to come (we always advise to do a new revision every 4 to 5 years on our quartz watches, though).
The leather strap you see in the pictures is not belonging to this particular watch, since it did come with a stainless steel bracelet. We threw that away though, since it was damaged beyond repair. The strap you see was only used to take the pictures, and will be replaced with a new leather strap before shipment.
Finally, the dual time and alarm chime at 6 oclock work perfectly, and the chime is loud and clear.
What we like about this watch:
The military look is as subtle as a punch in the face: no denying the fact that this is NOT a military watch per se, it is still a great looking watch to relive the warrior you hide inside (while playing online first person shooter games, perhaps…). It wears incredibly comfortably, and at 39mm diameter is great on the small, the medium as well as on the largest of wrists. An excellent addition to any collection, or just to use daily, or show up at a business meeting feeling more like a special corp soldier: your choice, and we will not judge…
What we don’t like about this watch:
There is some use and abuse present on the watch, specially on the case and on the glass (which as we said before, can be replaced with a small fee). Yet this is not the type of watch we’d use at a formal event. The bracelet it came with was a goner, so we only used an abused leather strap to make the pictures. We will replace it with a new one, probably of the same color, before shipping. It will be a surprise…
Finally, we would like to say:
What to say: it is a fun watch, military looking, works perfectly, and wear really nice on the wrist, no matter your build type. The Vintage Seiko 7T32-7D90 Quartz Chronograph you are looking at right now will be a nice addition to anyone’s collection, a conversation starter (well, we met new friends wearing iit just walking down the street…) and a really reliable wrist watch that will serve you (no military pun intended) well throughout the years. Get it now, since I havent seen many on sale with this dial color!
