Vintage Seiko Quartz Chronograph 7A48-7000February 5, 2019
Revision for Vintage Automatic WatchesFebruary 7, 2019
A very nicely restored and cleaned Vintage Seiko Quartz Chronograph 7T34-7A10.
This particular watch is something very special. The weight of the watch itself reveals its all stainless steel construction. The bracelet, although a bit stretched, is still solid and massive as it can possibly be. Yet the particular design makes it very comfortable on the wrist.
The dial, hands and inner bezer are in a as new condition: no sign of wear, no sign of aging whatsoever. The case does show some fine sratches, but apart from that, there are no big defects nor dents on it, nor on the case back.
What we like about this watch:
The classic design with a dodecagonal glass bezel and octagonal case recall the Geral Genta’s design for the Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet, yet not mocking it or pretending to be something that is not. This Seiko 7T34-7A10 has its own very distinctive look, and will be a very nice addition to anyone’s collection, or as the daily wearer.
What we don’t like about this watch:
Honestly, there is not much that we dislike about this watch. Probably the only thing is the bracelet, which is a bit stretched and shows the signs of intensive wear.
Finally, we would like to say:
The watch has been serviced, cleaned and comes with a new battery so you can easily take it out of the box and carry this beautiful piece of history. The glass has been replaced with a compatible mineral glass. Everything works as it should: from the date quickset, to the alarm and dual time functions.
